Conrad Murray: The Doctor Is In . . . A Heap of Trouble

Posted by Janice | Permalink | Add a comment

After an ongoing 7 month police investigation, today Dr. Conrad Murray was charged with involuntary manslaughter.  He will be tried in the same Los Angeles Superior Courthouse where doctor defendants Erosovich and Kapoor, as well as defendant, Howard K. Stern, will be tried for aiding in the death of Anna Nicole Smith.

Onlookers pelted the convicted physician with shouts of “murderer!” as he attempted to make his way into the courthouse.  The official complaint accused Murray of causing Michael Jackson’s death by acting “without due caution and circumspection.”  TMZ reports the doctor is expected to plead not guilty.  If convicted, he faces a possible maximum four-year state prison term.

Isn’t it interesting how onlookers shouted “murderer!” to the doctor who overdosed MJ, but the defendants who allegedly gave Anna Nicole Smith too many drugs, which also led to her death, avoid such accusations from the crowds.  Just a thought . . . It is important to support a system that works, and holding those in trusted positions, whether they be spouses, doctors, or, lawyers, criminally liable for their misconduct is a prime example.  Stay tuned as details unfold.

  1. Different circumstances altogether says:

Good GOD! Having a doctor administer medicine in an IV and in Anna’s case prescribe it where the patient is alone responsible for how it is taken are two very different scenarios!
    You, Janice sound very prejudice!

    • doris jean says:

They are not different. Both situations had doctors prescribing drugs which the doctors had a duty to administer correctly and the doctors failed to perform their duties. Both situations are alike.

Why do you say Janice is prejudiced? Seems to me she is objectively reporting the facts. I see no slanting or manipulation of the facts. Seems like you are the one who is prejudiced. Or perhaps you just don’t comprehend that both Michael Jackson and Ana Nicole were killed by their doctors. Both would be alive today if not for their doctors.

I do think that considering Dr. Eroshevich and Howard K. Stern were both warned about the drugs being “pharmaceutical suicide” and they still went ahead and illegally obtained and administered those drugs to ANS and she died of them as they were warned that they should have been charged in FL just as Murray is being charged in CA. JMO

Dr. Murray should be prosecuted to the limit of the law….This borders on manslaughter/murder in my opinion…

  4. doris jean says:

Revoke Murray’s medical license. He can’t be trusted with anesthetics.
