Some thoughts...

First of all, it's hard to compare coming into a sterile area versus leaving one - so it's hardly a fair comparison between getting onto your flight and getting off at your destination. You don't get screened to LEAVE, of course.

Secondly, there's the other side to the security coin... How much inconvenience would you endure if you knew that inconvenience would save your life? How many security breeches is too many?

Finally, on that note, if the air travel security breeches of the last decade have taught us anything it's that the screenings are mostly theater, generally capable of spotting the flagrant violations, but always a step behind. TSA's motto should be, "TSA: protecting you tomorrow from yesterday."

I agree with you...heightened security means little when it is handled in a disorganized manner...Hopefully, our country can implement these procedures in a more efficient manner...if they are paying the screeners minimum wage...expect lots of delays and ridiculous attitudes...TSA screeners should be trained and compensated as professionals.
