It would be complete freedom for everyone. The patient could control the doctor through the fee. But in the real world, we need to regulate and investigate the artificial shortage of doctors and hold them to a strict accounting. They have too much power over our lives and can do too much damage. I believe the doctor wanted to keep his patient alive so he could get more money, was it $10,000 a month? Can Greed cause accidents? In my ideal world, there would be many, many more doctors and they would be much, much cheaper and they would have total freedom to give anyone any med any time.
