Michael Jackson’s physician, Conrad Murray, might face manslaughter charges. According to several news reports, police are now moving ahead to issue an arrest warrant against Dr. Murray. He was administering 50 milligrams of Propofol (a powerful anesthetic) to combat MJ’s insomnia each night; the L.A. Chief Medical examiner reported lethal levels were in the pop star’s system. L.A. police have discovered 8 bottles of Propofol in MJ’s home and according to authorities, Murray failed to tell doctors he administered the drug, a critical omission that calls into question his method of treatment.

In my ideal world, there would be many, many more doctors and they would be much, much cheaper and they would have total freedom to give anyone any med any time. It would be complete freedom for everyone. The patient could control the doctor through the fee.
But in the real world, we need to regulate and investigate the artificial shortage of doctors and hold them to a strict accounting. They have too much power over our lives and can do too much damage.
I believe the doctor wanted to keep his patient alive so he could get more money, was it $10,000 a month?
Can Greed cause accidents?
I don’t like the government getting into our lives more than necessary…but the physicians in the news as of late…really need some sort of medical or legal oversight…it seems there are those physicians who are definitely out of control with prescription medicine.

Amen! The pharm industry & the docs should be regulating these prescriptions with more diligence & concern for the person ingesting them…
