SANTA BARBARA FIRE UPDATE: Investigators have traced the blaze’s beginning to power tools used to clear vegetation along the Jesusita Trail in the foothills above the city. As of today, 70% containment has been reached, and thousands returned to their homes after mass evacuations.
I again express my gratitude to the courageous firefighters who risked life and limb amidst swirling winds to quench this devastating display from Mother Nature.

Some leaf blowers are illegal during certain hours, I believe. Its unfortunate that people can’t learn to use a rake – better exercise and gentler to Mother Nature and the people nearby. They should have left the trail alone and let the vegetation grow naturally.

Illegal weed blowers, maybe? Where is the enforcement ?
where is the budget for the enforcement?
I thought that leaf blowers were illegal in most communities in California….I agree with Doris..where is the enforcement?
careless people do…such harm…maybe it wash’t careless…could have been intentional?
