Thomas Morphey, the stepbrother of former Illinois police officer Drew Peterson, smells a rat.
In a recent “Good Morning America” interview, Morphey speculated about the disappearance of Peterson’s 4th wife, Stacey. He recalled an incident involving his helping Peterson move a large blue barrel that he felt contained Stacey’s body, based on a putrid odor emanating from the container.
Peterson’s attorney Joel Brodsky feels Morphey’s bipolar disorder may be the reason he hasn’t yet testified for an ongoing grand jury investigation involving Stacey’s disappearance in 2007. Peterson has not been named as a suspect in the 2004 death of 3rd wife Kathleen Savio in a bathtub despite Stacey’s disappearance leading to Savio’s body being exhumed and cause of death reclassified to homicide from accidental.
Meanwhile, Peterson is taking his fight to regain control of Savio’s estate to the Illinois Supreme Court. A lower court recently ruled that Savio’s father and sister should be executors.
Lindsay Lohan’s sexual orientation may remain ambiguous, but her uncanny ability to find drama seems to stay the course. This past Saturday, a vase hurtled through a window of her and gal-pal Samantha Ronson’s Hollywood Hills home yielded a visit from LAPD officers. Neither woman would answer the door. Allegedly, an argument that begat the “China Syndrome” stemmed from Lohan’s arrest warrant for a supposed violation of her alcohol rehabilitation program. However, Lilo can rest a little easier: on Monday, L.A. Superior Court Judge Marsha N. Neill dismissed the warrant, due to LL’s proof of compliance and an assurance that she would enroll in a new treatment program immediately. Lohan pleaded guilty in August 2007 to two misdemeanor counts of being under the influence of cocaine; no contest to two counts of driving with a blood-alcohol level above 0.08 percent and one count of reckless driving. She was sentenced to three years’ probation.
